Assessment & Evaluation

It is not enough to present content or teach learning skills to a student. At some point it is necessary to confirm that the student has learned what was taught. Assessment and evaluation are the tools we use to achieve this. It is important, not only for student feedback and self correction, but also for providing documented evidence of achievement for the granting of diplomas and future educational pursuits. This category presents three artifacts which demonstrate this skill: A quiz, a rubric and an example of a MarkBook Report card.

Quiz

The quiz is just one of the tools useful for evaluation. We learned how to construct and pose questions of various types, such as multiple choice, matching, short answer and essay. I believe that this artifact was one of my better pieces of work which met the expectations of instructor and demonstrates my skill in this area.
